5. Do Not Overhighlight
Your hair highlight will fade overtime. If it is overexposed to heat, it can fade faster. When the hair grows, the root of the hair will not have the same color as the highlight. However, reapplying highlight often is also not good for the hair. Give some time for it to breathe. The recommended interval before highlighting your hair again is around six to eight weeks. When you do so, the highlight will have the vibrant color again.
